Until further notice, I have decided to suspend posting to this blog as I devote time and effort to a new writing project. Since I have not posted for a few months, I doubt many will notice or care. Should you be a person who cares, I will continue to update the Photobucket account and may periodically send alerts about such updates, where applicable. I reserve the right to resume posting to this blog at any time in the future, with or without sufficient notice. (I've been editing much legal language documents lately, if you have not noticed.)
It's a so-long-but-not-farewell day at the Roussel Roost.

It was sunny and fun-ny at VA Beach.
We just took our annual trip to Virginia Beach. Here's a little scrapbook of our adventures:

It's a Curly W Mother's Day at the Roussel Roost (that's the Washington Nationals' way to say our team won!). |

We're Zhu-m Zhu-m Zhu-ming into 2010.
Okay, before I show some pictures, let me just mention that our house is even more a zoo than usual now that the Zhu Zhu pets have taken over. They squeak in their hamster wheel, drive and surf around the living room, get stuck under the piano and sofa and cedar chest, and occasionally fall victim to Daisy's attempts to chew off their noses.
I think Lex got annoyed that no one would play along with her charade that they were real hamsters, or that a rubber ball was an egg (named Eggy) containing a real bird, or that her stretchy frogs were real frogs (named Ginny and Kinny) that required real flies--SO she smuggled a live hermit crab to school yesterday. She totally conned me; I thought she was only bringing a plush lemur in a sand pail.
Well, actually, Dino only got as far as the day care, where they detected it and intervened. They think she is hilarious. Of course she is because she gets to go home for me and Andy to deal with. Now, I am instituting full body and bag scans before the kids enter the car.
Anyway, here are some pictures. As always, more have been posted on Photobucket.
2 feet of snow in 24 hours is not fun to shovel, and it's not appreciated when it delays our trip to Louisiana. But it is fun to play in:

We got the cute cousins to pose at Granny's on Christmas Eve (no bonfire pictures this year thanks to the yucky rain):
And the scariest thing that happened during our Christmas trip...:
It's 2010 at the Roussel Roost. Hope it's 2010 wherever you are, too!
